RE: Newsletter Article re Judges Bureau Blog

I looked at the March issue of Founder.  I could not find my message about the Judges Bureau Blog anywhere.  Where was the article published?  I am not getting any responses from the Blog, so I suspect that people still do not know it exists.

Hi, David Penrose has set up a Judges Bureau blog and suggested that I put an article in the newsletter about the blog.  The article is attached.  Let me know if  you need more information.  Thanks.

Judges Needed: FBLA Conference, Ontario Convention Center, April 14-16

The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is organizing its annual State Leadership Conference at the Ontario Convention Center in the Inland Empire from Thursday, April 14th through Saturday, April 16th.  They are hoping you are available to lend your expertise and help them judge an event for their High School members.  During the three days of competition, they have events during the morning, midday, afternoon and evening.  Hopefully, there is one (or more) that fits your schedule.  Potential judges could see which events will be conducted according to their availability for one or more of the above dates:  visit:       http://tinyurl.com/slc-judge-2016     to view available events and to register as a judge.  After selecting an event, one of their staff members, will be sending you more information.

The events will include those which started at Section:

  • Creed
  • Future Business Leader
  • Impromptu Speaking
  • Job Interview
  • Public Speaking I
  • Public Speaking II

plus:

  • 3D Animation
  • Business Ethics
  • Computer Game & Simulation Programming
  • Desktop Application Programming
  • Digital Video Production
  • E-business
  • Electronic Career Portfolio
  • Emerging Business Issues
  • Graphic Design
  • Introduction to Business Presentation
  • Mobile Application Development
  • Public Service Announcement
  • Publication Design
  • Sales Presentation
  • Social Media Campaign
  • Website Design

There is a table on page 10 of their event guidelines   http://www.cafbla.org/dynimg/_NPAAA_/docid/0x757A06F13DBDB934/37/2015-2016%2BCalifornia%2BAwards%2BProgram.pdf with links to each of those new events for more details.

They could also use preliminary judges on some of the projects, which would be conducted electronically.  If you are interested, FBLA would email you the student submissions along with their rating sheets and instructions, and you could email back your findings.
